WordPress security, auditing, and hardening

Harden your site and hosting

We harden WordPress and your server, and set up firewall and Cloudflare protection against attacks, bad bots and traffic floods.

Review, fixes, and monitoring

We find weak points like open admin access and outdated plugins, fix them, and watch for suspicious changes.

Plan your security protection
Security events for Northfield Ceramics over 24 hours: a night-time burst of login attempts stopped by a rate limit, and a log of blocked and challenged requests

Protect more than the WordPress login

We review the site, its hosting and who looks after each part.

Security review for Northfield Ceramics in four areas: two-step login coverage for admins, an abandoned gallery plugin, hosting and Cloudflare settings, and backups with no restore test on record
Scroll sideways to see all of it.
  • Accounts and access

Admin roles, unused accounts, and account recovery. Everyone gets only the access they need, with two-step login where supported.

  • Software and updates

Outdated or unsupported WordPress core, themes, and plugins. Updates are planned, and software you no longer use is removed.

  • Hosting and Cloudflare

Server settings, file permissions, open services, and Cloudflare rules, within the access your host allows.

  • Backups and recovery

Backups, how long logs are kept, and who handles recovery. A backup only helps if restoring it actually works.

Firewall rules for Northfield Ceramics with a new rule on trial as a managed challenge, showing it also caught checkout and contact form requests from real customers

Firewall rules, tested first

Attacks blocked, real customers let through.

Tested before enforced

Firewall and rate-limit events are checked for real visitors caught by mistake. Checkout, forms, and integrations are tested before a rule gets stricter.

Every change can be undone

We record what changed, who manages it, and how to undo it, so nobody depends on one account or an undocumented setting.

Ongoing checks

Hardening lowers risk, never to zero.

Security review questions

It depends on who looks after each part.

Responsibility table showing what Northfield Ceramics, its hosting provider, and SEO RAISER each handle, from server patches to restore tests
Do I need a review on managed hosting?
Your host may run the servers, while accounts, plugins, and settings stay with you. We check how the work is actually split.
Is a security plugin enough?
A plugin can scan files and control access. It cannot replace secure hosting, updates, careful account management, or a tested restore.
Do I have to move my hosting?
No move is assumed. We work with your current host and point out the settings that need their help.
What if the site is already infected?
Start with malware removal and an investigation. Hardening alone does not clean up a site that has already been hacked.
